Would I recommend it to someone for their first degree? It depends on the situation. If someone is already working full-time and their employer wants to pay for their education I think it makes sense. Would I want my daughter to miss the college experience and take a degree totally online for her first degree. I don't think so. I will elaborate on some of the drawbacks in my next post.
