As an aside, this term made me smile because, being so close to Silicon Valley, I remember when it was bandied about during the dot.com boom. The bust that followed it was spoken of with such finality and yet, here we are again... I've really been seeing a shift recently of people who used to want to make money online, who now realize that it's not just money, but a living that they want to make. I really see 2010 as a time when making an actual LIVING is the battle cry and I'm really interested to see how we get more creative in this pursuit. At this point we still seem to be in the experimental stage and that's what makes it so exciting for me! :-) So for all those pushing to do just that, I hope the best and just encourage you to not only stick with it through thick and thin, but be smart about it. I just wanted to throw this into the conversation…

I’ve really been seeing a shift recently of people who used to want to make money online, who now realize that it’s not just money, but a living that they want to make. That a few hundred dollars a month from ads on their blog isn’t going to get them anywhere near the job quitting status they desire. I really see 2010 as a time when making an actual LIVING is the battle cry and I’m really interested to see how we get more creative in this pursuit.
