Hi Leah,
Thanks for commenting. I did not write the article but I am the owner of the blog. Thomas laid out an excellent article on going back to college. I just finished my 3rd degree just a month ago so I certainly thought this article was a great, informative one. I commend anyone going back to get their degree at any age. I'm glad to see that you did. I'm heading over to your blog now. Thanks for the comment.

Best,
Bob Bessette

Good article. I started college at an older-than-usual age (and hadn't really attended high school...very much lol) and a lot of it is learn as you go. I was working full-time but my schedule was flexible enough so that I could also take full-time classes, after getting my feet wet part-time for 3 semesters (it wasn't easy but I didn't have any other obligations). Finished my BA with honors at 28 and MA at 33. Changed majors 5 times lol--didn't know what I wanted to study at all. And though I started with evening classes at a small, private college, I soon realized that the community college was the way to go and from there, the university.

Glad you're encouraging older students! Though I started in the mid-80s and finished in 91 and 96, there were quite a few older students, and I'm sure there are even more now.
